Is Thauma a Business Intelligence?
Thauma is not just a BI (Business Intelligence), although it incorporates some of its functionalities. BI shows you your data, and it’s up to you to extract something useful for the governance. Thauma, on the other hand, starts with your governance needs and seeks in your data what you need to fulfill them.
Furthermore, Thauma is an Active Intelligence, as it provides “new knowledge,” presenting information in a new way: highlighting what was not previously known.
It’s updated in real-time and can be accessed from anywhere and anytime. Therefore, Thauma is much more than a simple BI; it is a powerful and comprehensive solution for corporate governance.
What do you mean by KPI? How many KPIs does Thauma have?
KPI (Key Performance Indicators) are metrics used to assess the success of an activity or goal. KPIs can vary depending on the industry and type of activity, but they usually include measures such as revenue, conversion rate, growth rate, customer satisfaction, and more.
Thauma provides a total of 300 KPIs (a number that continues to grow as our research department constantly works to develop new ones). These KPIs are “special” because many of them are new and not found in traditional ERPs or BI.
These KPIs have been specifically selected and developed to help SMEs govern their business effectively and achieve their governance objectives.
How does Thauma know which KPIs a CEO should monitor to effectively manage their company?
Thauma transforms information into knowledge using the IFRS framework for the financial and economic aspects, and the APICS framework for the commercial, operational, and organizational aspects.
This transformation also incorporates the experience of our team, composed of former CEOs, university professors, management consultants, and IT experts.
Thauma currently has 300 pre-defined KPIs, but the number will continue to increase. This is both because Thauma has a defined development roadmap and because customers themselves suggest the addition of new areas of analysis.
Which companies can use Thauma? Which ERP systems is it compatible with?
Thauma is designed for CEOs who wants to improve their company by maximizing their investment in the ERP, regardless of their starting point. Thauma is designed to become a standard for corporate governance, providing SMEs with the same tools available to multinational corporations, but at a lower cost and with fast activation times.
Thauma is compatible with ERP systems such as Microsoft Business Central, Microsoft Dynamics Nav, Panthera, and SAP Business One.
If you are in the process of selecting one of the ERPs mentioned above, contact us before making any decision. Implementing Thauma simultaneously with the ERP provides the company with a quality assurance for the installation. Thauma in fact “activates” only if the ERP is well implemented.
Can Thauma only be used once the ERP implementation is complete?
Absolutely not, because Thauma also helps facilitate the ERP implementation.
This is one of the benefits many CEOs have experienced after implementing Thauma: ‘It allowed me to understand the areas where I needed to make improvements.’
There are also companies that have requested to pair it with the purchase of a new ERP so that it could indicate the status of ERP implementation before activation. In this specific case, you get an incredible additional value: Thauma represents a ‘certificate’ of assurance for the implementation itself.
If I have an external system, such as MES, does Thauma take data directly from there?
Not exactly. The MES is first interfaced with the ERP, and then Thauma retrieves data from the ERP – but only the data needed for the governance.
The same applies to any other external system, provided it is interfaced with the ERP.
Typically, interfacing the external system with the ERP requires minimal effort.
If the ERP is customized, what do you do? Does Thauma still work?
If the customizations are ‘done right,’ they converge data into the standard, and so, everything is okay.
For the governance, the ERP standard is sufficient, customizations are not.
In any case, this is something we will discuss during the initial consultation phase.
How is Thauma installed? What resources do I need to provide?
Thauma is easy to implement, and we take care of everything!
We’ll start with a video call of up to one hour with your IT manager to coordinate the activities. We will handle the implementation of the ERP module, but we will need to gather some information from you in order to make the app and the web app work flawlessly.
Once implemented, Thauma needs to be activated by mapping your company’s data.
